Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

This policy explains how Aqmar collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Aqmar app or website.

Information you provide

When you create or use an Aqmar account, we may collect your email address, username, display name, optional phone number, optional gender selection, profile photo, account settings, and support messages.

If you use Aqmar as a guest, Firebase may create an anonymous account identifier so the app can remember guest activity until you sign in, create an account, or delete the guest account.

Collections, saves, and user content

Aqmar stores the collections you create, products you save, collection privacy settings, collaboration settings, follows, comments, stories, favorite stores, saved store pages, and related activity needed to operate those features.

Public profile information and public collections may be visible to other Aqmar users and to people who open shared Aqmar links. Private collections are intended to be visible only according to the privacy settings available in the app.

Search, AI chat, and personalization

We may store search queries, AI chat messages, attached products, selected tags, swipe/taste signals, search results metadata, and interaction history so Aqmar can provide product discovery, remember recent conversations, personalize recommendations, prevent abuse, and improve search quality.

AI requests may be processed by third-party AI and cloud service providers. Do not enter sensitive personal information into AI chat or search prompts.

Photos, screenshots, camera, and location

If you choose to upload a profile photo, collection image, product screenshot, or other image, Aqmar may process and store that image to provide the requested feature.

If you grant camera, photo library, or location permissions, Aqmar uses those permissions only for the related in-app feature, such as selecting images, scanning products, saving images, or showing location-based shopping context.

Device, diagnostics, notifications, and analytics

We may collect device identifiers, app version, operating system, device model, push notification tokens, notification preferences, diagnostics, crash information, performance data, and app activity.

This information helps us send notifications you enable, troubleshoot problems, secure the service, understand usage, and improve Aqmar.

How we use information

We use information to operate Aqmar, authenticate users, provide store and product discovery, save collections, personalize recommendations, send notifications, respond to support requests, maintain security, prevent abuse, analyze reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and sharing

Aqmar uses service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, storage, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, session diagnostics, AI processing, search infrastructure, and website hosting. These may include Firebase/Google Cloud services, Vercel, Algolia-backed search infrastructure, AI providers, and diagnostic tools such as LogRocket where enabled.

We share information with these providers only as needed to provide and protect Aqmar. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.

Retention

We keep account and app data for as long as needed to provide Aqmar, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service.

Some operational logs, fraud-prevention records, backups, and analytics data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion where necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Your choices and deletion

You can update some profile and collection settings inside the app. You can also request privacy help, corrections, or account deletion by contacting support.

Aqmar includes an in-app account deletion flow in Settings. Deleting your account removes your Firebase Auth account and deletes account-linked app data that can be safely identified, subject to limited retention for security, legal compliance, and backups.

Children

Aqmar is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Aqmar, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Aqmar changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
